This has to be one of our favourite events that we have done previously in Brisbane and Sydney and attended for the first time in Melbourne just this month (June 16). A great all round family event devoted to celebrating TV shows, movies, comic books, graphic novels, anime and gaming.

This is the only event we know of where the people who are attending the event are in fact the main attraction! The event was held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre over the weekend of 11 and 12 June already taking up 2 halls the entertainment spilt out to the foyer and beyond as everyone when searching for their favourite superhero or character to have their photo taken with.

Popular characters were there from Star Wars, Doctor Who, Ghost Busters and Alice in Wonderland. There was also a Darlic seen to be wandering through the exhibitors stands.

For those keen to get photos of and autographs of some favourite actors there was John Barrowman from Torchwood, Lucy Lawless from Xena: Warrior Princess, and Rose McIver from iZombie.

A great opportunity for the young and old to get their Geek next opportunity is September in both Sydney and Brisbane.
